Why the World is the Way it is

This video is 17 minutes long but I believe that once you start it you won’t want to stop it. I don’t know what you will think of it, but I suggest you judge it by how well you think it answers some important questions about the politics of left vs. right, liberal vs. conservative. Wherever you come down on that I believe you will find the analysis he calls “r/K selection theory” fascinating. Some of it will make more sense if you’ve either read Thomas Sowell’s great book, A Conflict of Visions, or if your natural vision of how the world works already fits with what Sowell calls the “constrained vision” vs. its opposite, the “unconstrained vision.”
