Slain Libyan Ambassador Stevens may have been Obama’s point man for funneling weapons to Syria

If the U.S. were arming Syrian rebels trying to defeat Basher al Assad, and if those rebels were freedom-loving and desirous of a peaceful stable government in Syria after Assad is gone, that might not be a bad thing. But that appears not to the case, not even close. The “Free Syrian Army” is mostly a front group for Al Qaeda. Armaments such as shoulder-fired anti-aircracft rockets in the hands of Al Qaeda is a nightmarish scenario.

In the video below Glenn Beck explains the somewhat complicated structure of Obama’s running arms through Turkey, with Ambassador Stevens as the point man and ultimately with the assistance of Obama’s new friend, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan (pronounced “air-doe-whan”). Since he was elected in 2003 Erdogan has worked steadily to change Turkey from a secular democratic state, as established by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1923, to an Islamic theocratic state, and I believe that is his ultimate goal. To make matters worse, the Muslim Brotherhood is woven into this web, and Erdogan has formed an alliance with the Iranian Mullahs.

This Fox News Channel report has more about the ship that was used to transport the weapons to Iskenderun, a Turkish town on the far Eastern Mediterranean coast of Turkey near the mountains separating Turkey from Syria. [I was on a sailing yacht that visited Iskenderun in 2002. It is not a place many tourists ever go. It was safe for us to be there then — now, not so much.]
