Senate Democrats hate the 1st Amendment and they’re trying to repeal it

You thought it was only the 2nd Amendment they hate, but no.  They hate the First one also. It gives the peasants too much power in elections, they think.  It makes it easier for challengers to get their message out. So, to protect incumbents, political speech must be restricted.

That’s not how they describe their efforts to repeal that part of speech which was most intended by the founders of America to be protected, i.e., political speech.  But I’ve described it correctly. Mark Udall of Colorado is the sponsor and author of the proposed Constitutional Amendment that already has 42 co-sponsors in the U.S. Senate, all of them Democrats.

Campaign finance reform always has as its purpose to protect incumbents and make it harder for challengers, just what should never happen in a Representative Republic.

Senate Democrats begin efforts to amend Constitution

I’m Noble: Give Me the Power to Protect Myself From Competition

NOTE: A Constitutional Amendment requires passage by 2/3 of both houses of Congress, then must be ratified by 3/4 of the States.  The President has no role in Constitutional Amendments.  This proposed Amendment is not going to ever be ratified by the States, much less make it through 2/3 of Congress.  So why are Mark Udall (Democrat, Colorado) and the other Leftists in the Senate Democrat caucus doing this?  To pump up their whacko left-wing base for the 2014 elections.  They’re scared the base is not energized and won’t turn out in November.  Need to throw them some red meat, get ’em stirred up and excited.
