One good guy with a gun takes out 3 bad guys with guns

Nashville Gunfighter Takes Out THREE Armed Robbers

WKRN Nashvile

A man died after he was injured during a shootout at a Bordeaux shoe and clothing store late Thursday night.

It happened inside retailer Hot Kicks, located in a strip mall at 3101 Clarksville Pike, around 11 p.m.

Metro police told News 2 a group of people were inside the store when at least three armed suspects came in through an unlocked back door and began firing.

Witnesses said one of the people in the group was able to wrestle one of the suspect’s gun away and exchanged fired with at least one person.

Damelvian Evans

The three gunmen fled and a 22-year-old inside the store called police.Responding officers discovered 19-year-old Damelvian Evans critically injured behind the business. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.

Earlier today I read “Multiple Choice,” an article in Handguns Magazine by Richard Vance on tactics and skills helpful when one defender is attacked by multiple criminals. Apparently, that is exactly what took place here. One good guy faced three bad guys with guns drawn and the good guy won. Cool.

Mr. Vance: “Criminals tend to travel in packs, so it only makes sense to train to defend yourself against more than one attacker.”

Handguns Magazine has a website but it doesn’t offer the magazine’s content. However, you can easily find Mr. Vance’s article in the June/July 2017 issue which should be available soon if not now at any grocery store or other newstand.

This is how lawfully armed citizens reduce crime. It’s not just one criminal or three criminals at a time either. Other criminals take notice of these incidents. Some of them will consider making a career change. Or they may decide to ply their trade in Chicago or Baltimore or New York or New Jersey where strict gun control laws protect them from armed citizens. Just about any “Sanctuary City” will offer them a safe place to plunder.
