Good intentions don’t make up for bad results

Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters.

— Daniel Webster

Liberals/Progressives/Democrats defend every disaster they create by claiming they had good intentions. It’s as if results don’t matter to them so long everyone had good intentions. I don’t believe them. I don’t believe they have good intentions. If they had good intentions they’d stop leaving wreckage in their wake. They’d stop lying. They’s stop cheating. They’d stop stealing. They won’t stop, they have to be stopped.

Trump is going to stop some of what they’re doing. That’s why they’re mad. They’re so mad it’s driving them nuts. They haven’t been this mad since Lincoln freed their slaves.
