Those words in the Declaration of Independence define the principle that all men stand equal before the law. It’s the ideal that made the United States of America exceptional in the history of human civilization. We don’t have kings or queens or dukes or lords. All people are entitled to equal treatment under the law. All people don’t always get equal treatment, but it is an ideal to be strived for. That’s never nor will it ever be the way things are done in the Obama presidency.
FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge George Venizelos stated:
“Trying to influence elections through bogus campaign contributions is a serious crime. Today, Mr. D’Souza finds himself on the wrong side of the law. The Federal Election Campaign Act was written to limit the influence of money in elections; the FBI is fiercely committed to enforcing those laws to maintain the integrity of our democratic process.”
This must be the paragon of disingenuous dissembling by officials of the Obama administration and the Holder Justice Department. Dinesh D’Souza has been indicted for doing something [assuming he even did it] that Democrats do thousands of times every election with absolute immunity.
D’Souza’s real crime was making an unflattering movie about Obama.
