ABC’s Jon Karl gets Senator Chris Murphy to admit this gun control wouldn’t work

When Jon Karl points out that none of Senator Murphy’s proposals would have had any effect on Orlando, San Bernadino or Sandy Hook, he lamely replies with a non-sensical answer:

So first of all, we can’t get into that trap. I disagree, I think if this proposal had been into effect it may have stopped the shooting. But we can’t get into the trap in which we are forced to defend our proposal simply because it didn’t stop the last tragedy.

This must be how the liberal mind works. Since the “last tragedy” has already occurred there is nothing in this universe short of a time machine that can stop it. The Senator tries to use his illogic to cover up the fact that he has not proposed anything that will have any effect whatever on the next mass shooting. Of course, that is not the goal anyway. All liberal gun control proposals have as their only purpose getting gullible voters to think they have done something meaningful when in fact it’s no more than window dressing. Unfortunately, that window dressing robs decent people of the liberty to pursue their natural right of self defense, an unalienble right bestowed upon all of us by our creator.

It is an undeniable fact that no country on this earth can keep the really bad guys from getting guns. There is always and everywhere on this planet a thriving black market for illegal guns. Not even brutal police states like Venezuela or China have done that. Fidel Castro doesn’t have the problem because he brings the bad guys into his communist party and kills the ones that won’t bend to his will. Being an island state he can do that, but he does it with his own thugs not with laws. Even Castro couldn’t defeat the black market but he doesn’t need to. He runs it himself.

By the way, there is no such thing as a “gun show loophole.” It’s just another liberal slogan meant to confuse people and distort the truth.
