Liberals took away your right to choose which light bulb you’ll use on January 1st when the final ban on all incandescent light bulbs went into effect. You still have a choice on the gruesome procedure of destroying a human life called abortion, but not on the type of light bulb you’ll use. Freedom of choice is not really a value to liberals unless it’s about something that will help them demagogue for votes or something they want for themselves but which might be outlawed because in certain of its forms it is wantonly depraved and wicked.
I like the new bulbs but that’s beside the point. Whether you like the new bulbs or not you should not like the ban on incandescent bulbs because it’s not really about which bulb is better. It’s about power, it’s about who gets to decide which bulb you will use. This is not a Democrat/Republican thing, it’s a liberal/conservative thing. The light bulb ban was the
brainfart brainstorm of one Representative Fred Upton, a Republican. It was signed into law by George W. Bush. One of about 29 specific reasons why I thought George W. Bush was not a good president. Of course, that was before I’d seen just how silly a president can really be.
