Real hope and change, in Utah: Mia Love elected to House of Representatives

mia-love-APMia Love will be the first Republican Black woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. She will represent Utah’s 4th District, which includes parts of Salt Lake County, Utah County, Juab County, and Sanpete County. It’s a new district created for the 2012 election in which Mia Love lost. Republicans from around the country supported Love in 2012 and again in 2014. She repaid them with a win this time.

Love said she was not elected for the color of her skin or for her gender, but for her conservative political principles of limited government and individual liberty. In other words, for the content of her character.  Martin Luther King would see this as the fulfillment of his dream. Mia Love was born in America to Haitian immigrant parents.
